Arc en ciel
Camp Dates: June 28-July 2 (Week 2)
In this camp children will explore and discover their own unique connection to nature (soil, air, sky, sun, stars…) all while using the French language. Campers will engage in a diverse range of hands-on activities, such as gardening, cooking, art and daily walks in nature. This program intends to spark in children an awareness of both current and future environmental issues campers. All activities are designed to reinforce a deep respect for nature and the interconnections of the world. Throughout the nature-walks, children will gather “treasures” and learn to use recycled materials in their arts and crafts projects. They will take those handmade pieces home.
About the Camp:
At SDFAS, your child will be part of a group of young explorers ready to travel the world! Each week, new themes will be introduced allowing each child to explore different cultural aspects of countries from all over the world.
Through play and art our internationally-themed camps foster your child’s imagination and creativity. Activities include arts and crafts, painting, singing, role playing, fun outdoor games, organized sports and cooking.
By attending our camps, children develop communication skills, whether taught in French, English or Spanish. Our SDFAS international camps contribute to social and emotional development: campers cultivate friendships as they “discover the world”!
