Camp Dates: July 26-July 30 (Week 6).
During this camp, children will discover basic art media and techniques, such as drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, and ceramics; all the activities are designed to encourage the exploration of each child’s personal style. Through a variety of media, children will learn about the lives and works of famous artists. Campers will have the opportunity to bring their imaginations to life and create amazing works of art. After being introduced to environmental issues, campers will gain a sense of resourcefulness and figure out how to transform basic materials during this “Do It Yourself” camp. In the afternoon, children will enjoy outdoor games and organized sports.
About the Camp:
At SDFAS, your child will be part of a group of young explorers ready to travel the world! Each week, new themes will be introduced allowing each child to explore different cultural aspects of countries from all over the world.
Through play and art our internationally-themed camps foster your child’s imagination and creativity. Activities include arts and crafts, painting, singing, role playing, fun outdoor games, organized sports and cooking.
By attending our camps, children develop communication skills, whether taught in French, English or Spanish. Our SDFAS international camps contribute to social and emotional development: campers cultivate friendships as they “discover the world”!
