About This Program:

French Intensive Summer Course for Teens

Camp Dates: June 22-July 17 – Two weeks minimum recommended immersion program and up to 4 weeks of instruction. Half-day program

  • Morning from 9 am-12:30 pm: Language Program for Beginners
  • Afternoon from 1 pm-4:30 pm: Language Program for Intermediate students

This summer the San Diego French American School (SDFAS) will offer a unique opportunity for teenagers 14 to 17 years old to discover French and/or strengthen their French language skills. French is a language spoken by 250 million Francophones over the world, and is forecasted to be spoken by 500 million people by 2050. Learning French at SDFAS will be academically challenging, build valuable connections with the English language, and offer a window into different cultural perspectives while increasing the plasticity of the brain through language learning.

These courses are designed for beginners and intermediate learners. Native French speaking and bilingual teachers use fun project-based units and an interactive approach to instill the joy of learning through relevant and meaningful class activities (reading, writing, conversation and games such as role playing).
